Patient Information Recall System

At Katherine West Health Board, our staff members use Communicare to access Patient Information electronically through our network.
We introduced the Communicare platform to all of our health centres in 2004 as a way of better accessing and storing patient medical data.

Because we work over long distances, and our clients often move from community to community, or from community into Katherine for specialist treatment, it was very important for us to have mobile access to our patient records.

This means that for our patients, whenever they present to any of our seven clinics, all they need to do is tell us their name, and we will be able to find their up to date patient records on our system.  This allows better continuity of care for our clients.

The Communicare system is backed up for us via our providers in Sydney, which also ensures the integrity and security of the medical data we collect.
