Mialuni Overview
Mialuni Mud Map The Mialuni Community is located approximately 450km west south-west from Katherine, and is serviced by an unsealed road to the Victoria Highway (located 62km to the north of the community). Once on the Highway it is 142km west to Kununurra (Western Australia) and 107km east to Timber Creek, the nearest settlement in the Northern Territory.

Mialuni is home to roughly 100 people, however this population rises and falls depending on the time of year. Mialuni is one of our smaller communities.
Mialuni has a primary school, and a small general store. Access is often impossible during the wet season by road.

Mialuni (Amanbidji) is the home of the Ngarinyman and Miriwoong people, and are the predominate languages spoken in the region..

Mialuni is a pastoral property owned by the traditional land owners. A permit is required to enter and the local administrative body is the Ngaliwurru Resource Centre. Mialuni also has a year round, good quality dirt airstrip, which is rarely closed.
